Microsoft has swiftly released an urgent out-of-band update, known as KB5070773, to tackle a bug in Windows 11 that was causing USB input devices, such as mice and keyboards, to become non-functional within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). This problem emerged following the KB5066835 security update earlier this month, impacting computers operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, as well as Windows Server 2025. The update aims to restore functionality and ensure users can rely on their USB devices during system recovery operations.
