Microsoft fixes Windows 11 bug that disabled mouse and keyboard in Recovery Mode

Microsoft has swiftly released an urgent out-of-band (OOB) update, identified as KB5070773, to fix a critical bug in Windows 11. This glitch had been causing USB input devices, such as mice and keyboards, to malfunction within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). The problem emerged following the deployment of the KB5066835 security update earlier this month. Systems impacted by this issue include those operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, and Windows Server 2025. Microsoft’s proactive approach aims to restore full functionality and ensure a seamless user experience.
