Microsoft fixes Windows 11 bug that disabled mouse and keyboard in Recovery Mode

Microsoft has swiftly released an urgent out-of-band (OOB) update, identified as KB5070773, to tackle a critical Windows 11 glitch that rendered USB input devices, such as mice and keyboards, non-functional within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). This problem emerged following the deployment of the KB5066835 security update earlier this month, impacting systems operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, as well as Windows Server 2025. The update aims to ensure that users regain full access to their USB devices in recovery mode, highlighting Microsoft’s commitment to swiftly addressing and resolving user-impacting issues.
