Microsoft fixes Windows 11 bug that disabled mouse and keyboard in Recovery Mode

Microsoft has released an urgent out-of-band (OOB) update, numbered KB5070773, to tackle a glitch in Windows 11 that rendered USB input devices, such as mice and keyboards, non-functional within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). This problem emerged following the deployment of the KB5066835 security update earlier in the month, impacting systems operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, as well as Windows Server 2025. The swift release of this update underscores Microsoft’s commitment to swiftly addressing critical issues to ensure seamless user experiences.
