Microsoft has swiftly released an urgent out-of-band (OOB) update, labeled KB5070773, to tackle a pesky bug in Windows 11 that was causing USB input devices, such as mice and keyboards, to malfunction within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). This glitch emerged following the KB5066835 security update earlier this month and has been impacting systems operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, as well as Windows Server 2025. The issue prompted immediate action to ensure users can continue to rely on their devices without interruption.
