Microsoft fixes Windows 11 bug that disabled mouse and keyboard in Recovery Mode

Microsoft has swiftly responded to a critical issue affecting Windows 11 by releasing an urgent out-of-band (OOB) update labeled KB5070773. This update aims to fix a bug that rendered USB input devices, such as mice and keyboards, inoperative within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). The problem emerged following the deployment of the KB5066835 security update earlier this month, impacting users on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, as well as those running Windows Server 2025. The unexpected disruption in USB functionality spurred Microsoft to take immediate action, ensuring that users can continue to rely on their devices without interruption.
