Microsoft fixes Windows 11 bug that disabled mouse and keyboard in Recovery Mode

Microsoft has swiftly released an urgent out-of-band (OOB) update, identified as KB5070773, to tackle a critical bug in Windows 11. This glitch, which emerged following the KB5066835 security update earlier this month, resulted in the malfunctioning of USB input devices such as mice and keyboards within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). The problematic issue has been impacting devices operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, and Windows Server 2025. With this new update, Microsoft aims to restore full functionality to affected systems, ensuring users can rely on their USB peripherals without any hitches.
