Microsoft fixes Windows 11 bug that disabled mouse and keyboard in Recovery Mode

Microsoft has swiftly released an emergency out-of-band update, identified as KB5070773, to tackle a pesky bug in Windows 11 that left USB input devices, such as mice and keyboards, inoperative within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). This glitch emerged following the deployment of the KB5066835 security update earlier in the month, impacting systems operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, as well as Windows Server 2025. In a bid to ensure users can navigate the recovery environment seamlessly, this critical patch aims to restore functionality and rectify the disruption caused by the earlier update.
