Microsoft fixes Windows 11 bug that disabled mouse and keyboard in Recovery Mode

Microsoft has swiftly released an urgent out-of-band update, identified as KB5070773, to tackle a glitch in Windows 11 that was causing USB input devices, such as keyboards and mice, to become non-functional within the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). This problem emerged following the deployment of the KB5066835 security patch earlier this month, impacting systems operating on Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, as well as Windows Server 2025. This unexpected bug had left many users frustrated, as they were unable to utilize essential peripherals during system recovery processes. Thankfully, with the introduction of this update, Microsoft aims to restore full functionality and ensure a smoother user experience.
